Cedarwood essential oil that we use is actually Cedrus Atlantica, the Atlantic or Atlas cedar, which is native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.  Extracted by steam distillation from the wood of the cedar tree. We use Atlas Cedarwood-based oils typically because they contain Alpha-pinene and Himachalol as key compounds.  Alpha-pinene is currently being researched for its anti-tumoral benefits.  Himachalol is a potent anti-inflammatory.  Two powerhouses in a wonderfully scented combo.
