As cosmetic regulations are changed and updated every year, we have to stay abreast of what is required and appropriate.  There is increased interest in regulating the handcrafted industry by the government and a number of pending bills will undoubtedly affect the industry.

As part of this, we make sure our labeling is correct and legal.  We are making changes to our Aromatherapy Creams to be fully correct.  We DO NOT wholesale these creams to stores, so we are not out of compliance, but we do not want there to be any question of our intention with these products.  We want to avoid any interpretation that could appear to be a pharmaceutical claim.  Therefore the following products will have these name changes:

EPI CREAM –  New name for Eczema/Psoriasis Cream….EPI is our shortened version of the term epidermis

JOINT CREAM – New name for Arthritis Cream – This cream is not a cure for arthritis and can be used on any joint with pain

SORE MUSCLE CREAM – This name will remain the same

NEURO CREAM – New name for Neuropathy Cream

Our Aromatherapy page will be changing format by mid-June. Rather than offer pre-made aromatherapy creams for anyone to order, and keeping a heavy inventory, we are moving to a consultant type approach. Why?

As Certified Aromatherapists, we are acutely aware of the benefits of essential oils but also their contraindications.  Many people are taking medications for diabetes, blood clots, epilepsy, crones disease, cancer and more.  Some of the medications used in the treatment of these conditions can react negatively with essential oils, including amplifying their effect.  While our formulas are created with safety in mind, the best way to ensure our customer’s safety is to discuss their personal medical history with them before providing an essential oil product. This one-on-one approach will also offer an alternate modality for customers who wants to reduce the pharmaceuticals and drugs they use.

You can still order what you love, we just want appropriate documentation in place to ensure complete customer satisfaction.   We are dedicated to your safety when using essential oils and feel the majority of customers will appreciate this new method of ordering custom essential oil products.
