The feed chain for our goats is free of antibiotics, hormones, animal by-products and additives. We use organic vinegar – never chemicals – to clean our goats’ water and feed containers.
Our animals have free access to the outdoors, so they may engage in natural goat behaviors of running, jumping, and climbing. Bedding is changed, and stalls are disinfected with agricultural lime during every cleaning.
All goat manure and bedding from the farm is composted for use in our community’s gardens.
From conception to the end of life, their health & well-being is a top priority. Â

We’re committed to caring for the environment just as we care for our adorable goats.
Our Earth-friendly packaging includes biodegradable packing peanuts that dissolve in water.  We also use food-grade Biolefin shrink wrap that’s biodegradable in 18 months to wrap our wholesale soap. Never plastic.
At HSA, we limit what we send to the landfill with a complete recycling and repurposing program.
- We use 100% recyclable packaging, including recyclable air pillows.
- All cardboard is recycled.
- All 55-gallon steel drums and 5-gallon buckets are recycled or repurposed.
- All soap molds are made with repurposed Corian countertops or HDPE.
- Our soap bags for online orders are made from 100% recycled paper (with a minimum of 40% post-consumer content) and printed with water-based inks.
- Our soap bags pass the sanitary requirements of Whole Foods
- All of our palm oil is RSPO-certified and can be traced back to the original plantation, protecting the indigenous population and providing life-empowering employment.
